The countdown has begun--only two more days until we leave for Chicago. Pat and I are getting very excited. On Sunday, I hosted a Torchwood 2 marathon for Pat and my friend Roger. In honor of the occasion, I made chicken pasties and tried my hand at Phil Vickery's banoffee pie. Luckily, both came out rather well. We were feeling very British by the end of the day. I also presented them with their La Cage aux Folles tickets, which we will be attending Thanksgiving weekend. I am also bringing my daughter from Texas (Christmas, birthday, Easter, Mother's Day, Groundhog Day presents for the next ten years). And, happy birthday to me--my present to myself! We will occupy the entire Cabaret Table D on November 27.

My intention is to post daily at the end of the day's events. If I can take pictures, I will post those, as well. We have been notified not to bring cameras to the cocktail party because there will be an official photographer there taking pictures of attendees with John. I'm hoping that we can take candid pictures during the day, at least.
I have posted some of your e-mail addresses to be notified whenever I post. I only posted those who expressed an interest in reading the blog. We arrive in Chicago on June 4, so I will begin posting then. Please feel free to post your comments and questions.
